Contrary to what some people believe, cremation does not limit choices—in fact, it gives you more memorialization options. Either before or after the cremation, you may choose to hold a meaningful service to celebrate and honor your loved one's unique life.

Because we own the only onsite crematory in all of Madison County, we can guarantee your loved one will never leave the shelter of our professional care.

 Importance of Memorialization

Memorialization provides a permanent, secure place for cremated remains to be placed, and for family members and descendants to honor the lives of the deceased.

Cremation allows families many choices for memorializing a loved one. Some families choose to keep the cremated remains with them at home, or to scatter the remains over land or water. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory allows the following memorialization options, among others, for cremated remains:

 Memorialization Options for Cremation:

OUTDOOR NICHES - The cremated remains of your loved ones may be safely held in one of our many above ground columbarium niches.

SCATTERING – Your loved one’s remains may be scattered freely within a dedicated, natural environment. There are also certain services which offer scattering among the sea or the stars.

TRADITIONAL BURIAL – In ground burial on a family plot – Urns may be buried at the head or foot of a grave site, offering in ground burial on a family plot.

PERSONALIZED MEMORIALIZATION – Inscribe your family member’s name and a special saying on a tree plaque, park bench or other special memorial. We also have custom, unique urns and keepsakes, perfect for displaying inside your home.  Cremation Packages

The Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory provide dignified cremation options to meet the personalized desires of families of this community. Though not a complete list of the cremation services Loose Funeral Home and Crematory provide, the following are several options available: 

The Full Cremation Service with a Committal Service: $4956 

This service includes the basic services of the funeral director and staff, transfer of the deceased to the funeral home (within a 25 mile service radius), embalming, other preparation of the deceased, use of facilities for visitation (one day) and the next day a funeral ceremony or ceremony in another facility, video tribute, the cremation process, the committal or disposition service, and the automotive equipment to transfer cremains and flowers to place of committal or other disposition service (within a 25 mile service radius). (The selection of a casket or cremation casket, an urn, an urn vault and a memorial package may need to be made.) The above service without a committal or disposition service $4856 (If one would itemize a Full Service, the charges would total $6262.00) 

The Single Day Cremation Service with a Committal Service: $4750 

This service includes the basic services of the funeral director and staff, transfer of the deceased to the funeral home (within a 25 mile service radius), embalming, other preparation of the deceased, use of facilities for two hours of visitation and same day funeral ceremony or ceremony in another facility, video tribute, the cremation process, and the committal or disposition service, and the automotive equipment to transfer cremains and flowers to place of committal or other disposition service (within a 25 mile service radius). (The selection of a casket or cremation casket, an urn, an urn vault and a memorial package may need to be made.) The above service without a committal or disposition service $4650. (If one would itemize a Single Day Service, the charges would total $5809.00) 

*Direct Cremation, Memorial Service & Committal: $3310 

This service includes the basic services of the funeral director and staff, transfer of the deceased to the funeral home (within 25 mile service radius), other preparation of the deceased, use of facilities for two hours of visitation (without the deceased present) immediately prior to the Memorial Service or service in another facility, video tribute, the cremation process, the committal or disposition service, and the automotive equipment to transfer cremains and flowers to place of committal or other disposition service (within a 25 mile service radius).

The above service without a committal or disposition service $2898. 

Direct Cremation with a Graveside Service: $2785 

This service includes the basic services of the funeral director and staff, transfer of the deceased to the funeral home (within 25 mile service radius), other preparation of the deceased, the cremation process, the graveside service with committal, and the automotive equipment to transfer cremains and flowers to place of committal (within a 25 mile service radius). 

**(The selection of a casket, cremation casket or alternative container, an urn, an urn vault and a memorial package may need to be made.) 

*Direct Cremation with No Services: $2180 

This service includes the basic services of the funeral director and staff, transfer of the deceased to the funeral home (within 25 mile service radius), other preparation of the deceased, and the cremation process. This charge does not include any visitation, rites or ceremonies.

*We offer a brief period for identification purposes for only the immediate family or care-giver within 24 hours of the death to all families requesting services without public visitation. If the identification period is desired after 24 hours from the time of death, embalming will be required and an embalming charge will be added.
