Anderson- Ada May Smith, 95, of Anderson went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2012 at the Community Northview Care Center, Anderson, IN. She was born on February 16, 1917 in Powersburg, Kentucky and resided most of her life in Anderson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union, Alexandria. Ada is survived by her son, Rev. Paul Tina Smith of Anderson, IN, sons-in-law, Harold White and George Hawes, daughters-in-law, Kay Fleener and Connie Smith all of Anderson. sister Sylvia Deaton of Cincinnati; grandchildren, George Kelly Hawes of Logansport, and Charlotte Elaine Clay, David Andrew Smith, Daniel Roy Smith, Paul Derek Smith, Keith Henderson Smith, Tammy Michelle Smith, William Kevin Hawes, Michael Wade Fleener and Angela Jean Abel all of Anderson; David Reedy, Debbie Russell and Richard Rosenau Jr., all of Washington state; Brenda Kiser of Tallahassee, FL, Tanya Coleman of Ft. Wayne, Donna Wingate of Sebring, FL, Nancy Wagner of Holly, MI and Carrie Yarber of Booneville, AR. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Bryan Michael Smith, Erika Smith, Devon Smith, Jeffrey Leon Pickett, Nabria Chante Harris, Matthew Harris, Majama Beth Harris, Christopher William Hawes, Isaac Samuel Hawes, Michelle Lusher, Angela Noele Smith, Tasha Fleener, Sarah Fleener, Mackenna Hawes, all of Anderson, Susan McElroy of Cicero, Jason Kelly Hawes of Logansport, Erin Colleen Maden of Chandler, AZ, Roy Samuel Wagner and Carrie Wagner of Holly, MI, Richard Lee Ingweiler of MI, Sarah Coleman and Kevin Coleman of Ft. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Smith, daughters, Janice White and Roberta Richard Rosenau, sons, Michael Edward Smith, William Lee Fleener, stepdaughters, Nancye Hawes of Anderson, and Marjorie William Mann of Tallahassee, FL, grandsons, Gary Okamoto II and Paul Edward Fleener, granddaughters, Verdina Lynn Phillippe, Kimberly Ellen Hawes, Robin Kimiko Harris and Debbie Wade, several great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Marie Pettigrew, Lora Deaton and Syble Rains, Nora Troxell, brothers, Odis Rains, Earl Rains, Leon Rains and Vincent Rains and Earl Rains, father, David Edward Rains, mother, Fronie Ellen Massengale Rains. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm Friday, October 26, 2012 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana. Services will be at 1:00pm Friday at the Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, 200 West 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Claude Creel officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
