Amy Henning Jobst

Amy Henning Jobst, age 61, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2025. Amy graduated from Anderson High School in 1982. She went on to run cross country at Ball State University for one year before continuing her education in Chicago, where she studied photography at the Ray Vogue School of Design. Her passion for art, design, and architecture shaped her professional life. Amy worked for Hancock and Hancock Design Studio in Chicago and later with Browning Day in Indianapolis. She eventually founded her own architectural photography business, Henning Jobst Photography, where her keen eye, creativity, and professionalism were evident in every project. She was also the founder and president of Club Bonita and one of the founding members of the Jobst Outlaws Club, reflecting her creativity, leadership, and love for community. Amy was known for her kindness, humor, and unwavering support of those she loved. She was creative, artistic, generous, and deeply loving. She loved to paint and enjoyed photography, caring for animals, and the annual fishing trip to Canada she shared with her father-in-law for many years-each reflecting her gentle spirit and compassionate heart. She was married on October 27, 1990 to her beloved husband, John Jobst. They shared 35 years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in love, creativity, and devotion to family. Amy is survived by her husband, John Jobst; her son, Mason Jobst (partner Katie McElveen); her sisters, Anne Henning Cooper, Alissa Henning Prather (Tom Prather), and Art Henning (Lesley Cooper); and her sisters- and brothers-in-law, Debby Jobst, Jenny Jobst (Mark Lindberg), Joe Jobst (Delia Muniz), Suzy Jobst, and Dave Porter. She is also survived by her many cherished nieces and nephews: Riley, Owen, and Trent Cooper; Weston and Wyatt Prather; Jackson, Aiden, and Maggie Henning; Bryce Porter; Rory Jobst; Marissa, Joshua, and Chelsea Jobst; and Alex and Miles Green. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Judie Henning; her parents-in-law, Joe and Mary Jobst; her sister-in-law, Kathy Porter; her nephew, Casey Porter; and her brother-in-law, Tom Green. The family would like to extend special thanks to longtime friend Lonnie Ginley Carpenter for her love, care, and support, and to Molly Schueller for the compassionate care she provided during the last two years of Amy’s life, along with the many other close friends who surrounded her with love and support. Amy will be remembered for her warm heart, creative soul, and the quiet but powerful way she loved those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, in Anderson, Indiana.
