Beverly Golden

Beverly Golden, 75, of Anderson, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, May 18, 2026. She was born on March 2, 1951. Beverly graduated from Madison Heights High School and retired from the Community Hospital of Anderson, after many years of service. Bev was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved traveling, thrift shopping, cooking, sewing, and shopping with her sister, and relaxing at the lake. One of her greatest joys was finding unique treasures for her children and grandchildren - whether at estate sales, thrift stores, or even through a Today Show deal. She paid attention to the things people loved and made it her mission to find that extra-special something that was meant just for you. She was a helper by nature and a warm, safe place for anyone who entered her orbit. Bev was definitely a “boy mom,” and many of her sons’ friends lovingly referred to her as the “neighborhood mom.” Her home was often the place where kids could get a cold drink, maybe a snack, or even a little first aid after wiping out on a bike or skate ramp. One of Bev’s favorite places on earth was the ocean, and her family is especially grateful that she was able to make one more trip to one of her favorite beaches this year with her beloved husband. She was everyone’s biggest fan and cheerleader, always encouraging and celebrating the people she loved. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and presence will live on through her family and be felt in every future milestone and memory they share. Beverly is survived by her husband, Matthew Golden; her sons, Seth (Kellie) Kelley and Heath (Tara) Kelley; her grandchildren, Brittany Kelley, Emma Kelley, Graham Kelley, and Pierce Kelley; her sister, Barbara (Michael) Rastetter; her mother-in-law Jackie Golden, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Patterson, and her brothers, Jack Patterson and Joe Patterson and her father-in-law, Bill Golden.
