Brittney "Britt" Leigh Garrett

Brittney "Britt" Leigh Garrett Flights of angels seized you to you're resting place on March 24, 2024, at the age of 46, after a sudden illness. Britt was born on August 18, 1977, in Anderson, Indiana, to the late Michael Garrett and Brenda (Garrett) Baker. She is survived by the pride and joy of her life, her two children, Kale and Kaya Bair; stepfather and mother, Roy and Brenda Baker of Pendleton; and siblings, Nathan Garrett of Pendleton, Lee Baker of Anderson, and Kalie Greeno of Greenwood. Also, surviving is her special niece, Emilee Baker of Lapel; sister-in-law, Penny Bair of Anderson; brother-in-law, Derek (Michelle) Bair of Florida; special friend, Shannon Jarvis, and many loving aunts and uncles. Britt is preceded in death by her partner and loving soul mate, Brett Bair; father, Michael Garrett; paternal grandparents, Eddie and Nannie Garrett; maternal grandparents, Elbert and Mary Janes; and grandmother, Norma J. Baker. She worked as a sous chef at Catello's Italian Art Cuisine in Pendleton. Britt shared her passion of cooking for her family and friends during the holidays, celebrations or "just get togethers". Her kitchen was a sanctuary where recipes were more than just written instructions, but an expression of love for all who entered into her home. Britt navigated life with a spirit that was both loving, energetically beautiful and creative. Her generosity and profound ability to forgive, not only defined her character but left an incredible mark on those blessed to have been a part of her life journey. A compassionate and carefree individual with a love for adventure and travel took her to various corners of the world. she loved camping, going to music festivals, bonfires, yoga, rummage sales, shopping and cooking. Britt loved so many things, but she loved her children the most. She always encouraged them to be kind, and to always stay true to themselves. Her vibrant spirit and love for socializing will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Britt was loved by many, especially her group of girls; Sarah Beth, Alyssia, Charity, Sarah M., and Dinah. Britt graduated from Pendleton Heights High School in 1995, and shortly thereafter, pursued her love of travel. A celebration of life will be at the Eastview Church of the Nazarene located at, 2552 East 200 South, Anderson, IN, on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Charlie Soden will officiate a special memorial service at 3:30 pm. A private graveside service will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery at a later date. Anyone who would like to send flowers or gifts, may do so on Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6, to the church.
