Markleville - Douglas Neil ''Kip'' Beaty III, 35, Markleville, died September 6, 2004 at Methodist Hospital-Indianapolis from the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born October 15, 1968 in Marion, Indiana, and resided in Markleville, Indiana. He lived in this area all of his life. He worked for Guide Corporation as a journeyman pipefitter. He was a 1987 graduate of Highland High School and completed a 5 year apprentice program through Local 661 in Muncie. He attended Parkview Wesleyan Church, a member of the UAW Local #663 and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local #661. He loved to ride his dirt bike and help coach Brittany's softball team. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed golfing and archery. He is survived by his Wife of 12 years: Tammy Gillespie Beaty. Daughter: Brittany Beaty. Parents: Douglas and Janice Uptgraft Beaty Jr. Sister: Dawn Russell & husband Mark. Grandmother: Mary Uptgraft. Godson: Doug Dowden II. Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Lloyd & Anna Gillespie. Brother-in-law: Gary Gillespie & wife Suzetta. Sister-in-law: Lisa Staley & husband Ken. Grandfather: Ernest Gillespie. Nieces & Nephews: Sirena Gillespie, Anthony Dowden, Doug Dowden II, Brittney Purdy and Dustin Purdy. Aunts & Uncles: Kevin Beaty & wife Sara, Billy May Kreigh & husband Rex, Laura Chaney, Jim Uptgraft & wife Denise, Sheila Zimmerman & husband Mike, Cecil & Ann Gillespie, Gene & Lillian Gillespie, Marvin & Sharon Bland, Jerry & Gloria Bland, Jerry & Marlene Linkous, Ronnie & Susan Bland, Pauline Johnson, Gordon & Marie Barbour, Ralph & Virginia Bland and Raymond & Michelle Bland. Several Cousins and Many Special Friends. He was preceded by his Grandparents: Douglas Neil Beaty Sr. and Toddie Beaty,, Weisell Uptgraft, Eirsel & Earl Bland and Ernestine Gillespie. Uncle: Wavell Gillespie. Services will be Friday, September 10, 2004 at 11:30 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Paul N. Trent officiating. Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at funeral home, south chapel.
