Harry Leisure Jr., 75, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on June 22, 2026, in Anderson. Born on May 19, 1951, in Indiana, Harry lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his country. Harry graduated from Anderson High School in Anderson, Indiana, and pursued higher education at Salt Lake City Community College. His career was as diverse as it was fulfilling. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, Harry worked for Salt Lake City Transit for many years, a role he deeply enjoyed. His professional journey continued with a position as a truck driver for Cemex before eventually returning to Anderson, Indiana. There, he worked at a local vape shop and later at CubeSmart in Indianapolis until illness prevented him from continuing. Harry found great satisfaction in his work and approached each role with commitment and enthusiasm. Harry’s family meant everything to him. He is survived by his brother Mike Leisure; sisters Jodie and Sandra; his beloved daughter Ellie (Andrew) Adams; his devoted sons Raymond Leisure, William (Kayla) Leisure, and his eldest son Harry Gomez; as well as his nephew James (Tashi) Allen, who was like a son to him. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and other siblings, uncles, aunts, and cousins. A man of many interests, Harry had a passion for chess and collected chess boards throughout his life. He was an avid collector of 1950s memorabilia and old puzzles and had a deep appreciation for eagles—so much so that he adorned his home with eagle-themed tapestries and pictures and even had an eagle tattoo on his back. Harry also loved watching the news and was deeply political, holding firm to his beliefs. Above all else, he cherished his dog, Raider. Harry’s faith became an important part of his life in recent years. A Christian man who found solace in prayer and devotion to the Lord during the last three years of his life, Harry’s family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace. Harry will be remembered as an outgoing and loving man who always put family first. His kindness and willingness to help those around him left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering dedication. May Harry’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him
