Jillian Reed

Jillian Reed, 11, of Anderson, gained her wings, November 7, 2015 at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born, May 4, 2004 in Columbus, OH and resided most of her life in Anderson. She was a member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church, she also attended Kids Klub at 5th St. United Methodist Church, she was an honorary Fire Fighter for the City of Anderson and a honorary Sheriff with the Madison County Sheriffs Department. She was a member of the Girl Scout troop #30344 where she was a Cadet. Jillian was a former student at EastSide Elementary and a current student at Highland Middle School, where she was loved dearly. Jillian enjoyed being around children, singing, crafts, sushi and karate, and her favorite color was blue. Jillian was an honorary employee at Greek's Pizzeria in Anderson. Jillian is survived by her parents, Rheanna and Jeff Reed of Anderson, IN, brother, Travis Reed at home, her dog Emma, cat Abby, Grandparents, John and Elaine Hamlin of Alexandria, Great-Grandmothers, Betty Spaulding, of Anderson, Susie (Speedy) Hamlin of Anderson, Janice Cokley of Anderson, Aunts and Uncles, Heather and David Godby, Melissa and Rob Davis, Melissa and Shannon Owen, Great Aunts and Uncles, Gary and Leta Cunningham, Rick and Bobbie Spaulding, Marianne Etchison, Diann and Terry Meador, and Loraine Lapole, Great-Great Aunt, Dee Mercer and several cousins. Jillian was survived by several special friends, including Skip Ockomon, Clay Sexton, Drew Mueller, Chad Self and many, many others, and her 5 chickens. She was preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents, Tony and Joy Reed, Great-Grandfather, Donald Cokley and her Great-Uncle Tony Hamlin. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Robert Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, Anderson, IN. Services will be held at 1pm Friday at Cross Roads United Methodist Church, Anderson, IN, with Rev. John Hackney officiating. Burial will take place in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Daleville.
