Judith Ann Nugent

Judith Ann Nugent, 85, Anderson, passed away November 30, 2021, at her home in Anderson. She was born August 12, 1936, in Anderson, to Keith Doyle Winemiller and Juanita Rees. Judy attended Markleville High School and graduated in 1954. She went on to marry the love of her life, Larry Nugent on June 23, 1956. Larry passed away suddenly in 1999 leaving Judith heartbroken. Judy was the co-owner of Arrow Dry Cleaners, as well as the president of the family business, Nugent Electric, Inc. She loved her family so much, having dinners with everyone around, playing cards, reading, traveling, and napping. She is survived by her three children, Mark Nugent, Mike (Marlene) Nugent, and Vicki (James) Baker, all of Anderson; her sister, Nancy Ellis; her brother, Bill Winemiller; her step-mother-in-law, Betty Nugent; her step-sister-in-law, Mellissa (George) Altherr; her step-brother-in-law, Jon Bowden; her step-sister-in-law, Kenara Nugent; her grandchildren, Stacey (Mike) Short, Heather (Juan) Vargas, Jason Nugent, Kristin (Regan Zink) Baker, Sarah Nugent, Cortney (Josh) Water, Emily (Jimmy) Parks, Laura (Alan) McIntyre, Casey (Luke) Weber; her 10 great-grandchildren, Trey (Ashley) Short, Trenton Short, Connor Vargas, Dylan Vargas, Annabelle Vargas, Kennedy Ann Nugent, Kennedy Marie Parks, Carly Jo Young, James Parks, and Sam Weber. Judy is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Jim Smiley (Julie), Danial Stanley, Kenra (Conrad) Humble, and Randy Winemiller; her step-grandchildren, Justin and Brandon Vaness; and her step-great-grandson, Carter Vaness. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Nugent, her parents, Keith Winemiller and Juanita Rees, her step-father, Charles Rees, her mother-in-law, Alta Gayle Bowden, her father-in-law, Kenneth Nugent, her step-father-in-law, Tom Bowden, her sister-in-law, Carol Epperly, her brothers-in-law, James Epperly and Don Ellis, a special nephew, Chris Cole and his son Dustin Scott, as well as her beloved daughter-in-law, Janet Nugent. The family would like to thank all the friends, family, and caregivers, Tina Couch, Tammy Hughes, Carla Burke, and Cheryl and Emily Waters that helped throughout this time-----it was appreciated more than we can ever say. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 4 at 11:30 A.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, with Mrs. Mary Evans officiating.
