Anderson - Larry E. Eglen, 69, Anderson, passed away December 10, 2007 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a sudden illness. He was born March 21, 1938 to Eugene T. and Ethel Eglen in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. Larry was known as the "Eggman" to his dear friends in the musical community. He had a passion for the Blue's and was known for playing the harmonica with his musical buddies. His last few hours were spent doing what he loved which was playing his harp and entertaining his friends. He was retired from the State Highway Department after 25 years of service. He also worked for Delco Remy. He is survived by his wife Rebecca ?Becky? Smith Eglen whom he married August 5, 1961. Daughters: Darcie Steve Rueschhoff of Deerfield, IL and Holly James Terchila of Indianapolis and beloved grandson: James John ?Jimmy? Terchila III. Sister: Judy Bud Asbury of Chesterfield. Brother-in-law: Edward Kathleen Smith of Anderson. Sister-in-law: Gaile Norkus of Marion. Several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews which include Greg Diane Asbury of Peoria, IL and Michael Asbury of Ft. Wayne, IN. Special cousin: Marvin Roberta Persinger. Larry is also survived by many very dear friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by by his parents. Services will be Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 11:30 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Anderson, Indiana, with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Entombment will be in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson . Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Friday, December 14, 2007 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Anderson, Indiana. Memorial Contributions may be made in Larry?s name to the Madison County Humane Society, Little Red Door Cancer Agency or the charity of the Donor's Choice. A dove release ceremony is scheduled.
