Anderson - Russell Lowell Breeden, 91, Anderson, died May 13, 2003 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana. He was born April 9, 1912 in Tennessee, and resided in Anderson for most of his life. He was a grocer and owned Park - en- Shop since 1942. He was a member of Anderson First United Methodist Church, the Kiwanis Club of Anderson and the Lions Club. He was an avid world wide traveler and loved to play cards. He was a big fan of John Wayne movies. He is survived by his children, William ''Bill'' & wife Pat Breeden of Anderson Yolanda Marshall & special friend Dennis Jones of Vail, Colorado and Terry & wife Nita Breeden of Anderson; two sisters, Pauline Graham of Anderson and Ruth & husband Bob Jones of Hobe Sound, Florida; brother, William ''Dub'' Beeden of Anderson; fifteen grandchildren, Jeff & wife Shirley Breeden of Anderson, Jim & wife Joni Breeden of Anderson, Jill Nave of Anderson, Julie & husband Kevin Rhodes of Anderson, Brian & wife Susan Smith of Shelbyville, Christina & husband Mike Testerman of Indianapolis, Rob & wife Cindy Marshall of Denver, Colorado, Marla & husband Mike Haley of Evergreen, Colorado, Kari Marshall of Denver, Colorado, Lisa & husband Ron Schumate of Estes Park, Colorado, Carman & husband Eddie Taipalus of Indiana, Colette Hastings of Indiana, Melissa & husband Mark Watts of Indiana, Amber Johnson of Indiana, Troy Breeden of Indiana; step-daughter, Connie & husband Harold Gaw of Venice, Florida and her children Debbie & husband Doug Williams of Anderson, Steve & wife Misty Zierer of Gilbert, Arizona and Pam & husband Steve Mounts of Indiana; 38 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the girls at Vermillion Place for all of their care. He was preceded by his wife, Mary K. Klee Breeden on March 5, 2002 and his parents, William Francis & Ethel Line Breeden. Services will be Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 11:30 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Kaye Casterline officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
