Sibyl Cordelia Manifold

Sibyl Cordelia (Buck) Manifold October 12, 1935 – August 3, 2022 Sibyl Manifold, 86, of Anderson, IN, peacefully passed from her earthly home into the safe, loving arms of her Heavenly Father, surrounded by her family. Sibyl was born October 12, 1935, in Albany, KY. She graduated from Mooreland High School (Mooreland, IN) in 1953 and married Harold Manifold, her high school sweetheart, on December 6, 1953. Sibyl was a true example of a Proverbs 31 woman. She loved her Lord and Savior and all her family with a love like no other. Her prayers are for all to come to know Jesus as she does. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and friend. She faithfully served her family as a homemaker extraordinaire. Sibyl had a love for hospitality and loved playing games with children, grands, greats, and friends. Sibyl was the last charter member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Anderson. Throughout her life, she has always been active in her church, working with the youth, organizing many church family conferences, mission trips, and was the secretary at Edgewood Baptist Church from 1978-1992. Until her later years, she wintered in Ft. Myers, FL residing in Royal Palm Village. While in Ft. Myers, she was an associate member of Daniels Road Baptist Church. Survivors include her two daughters, Linda (Kent) Heiny of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Patricia (Calvin) Walden of Adrian, Michigan; four grandchildren: Brad (Kerrie) Kaylor of Tennessee, Charissa (Matt) Nuber of Indiana, Shane Walden of Texas, and Jonathan (Emily) Walden of Michigan. She was a great-grandma to Korbin Kaylor, Alexis and Callie Nuber, Daniel and Caitlyn Walden, and Abel and Maggie Walden. Surviving siblings include Ray (Carolyn) Buck and George (Suzy) Buck; and her sister-in-law, Betty Buck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Manifold, her parents, John E. Buck and Dora Edith Buck, and her brother, Eldon Buck. Personal caregivers to Sibyl were Allie Perez-Bunting, Brooke Harvey, and Jenny Hill. Their love and care for Sibyl made them like family. Visitation will be on Friday, August 12 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 13 at 11:00 A.M. at Edgewood Baptist Church, 3743 Nichol Avenue, with Pastors Calvin Walden, Andy Lutz, and Bob Mahl officiating.
