Anderson - Virginia S. ''Ginny'' Hendricks Carey, 70, Anderson, died December 22, 2002 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born December 3, 1932 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She was a lifelong Anderson resident. She retired in 1988 from Fisher Guide Division of General Motors after 19 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. She was an avid bowler and bingo player. She enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with her family and enjoyed shows on TV such as Highway to Heaven and Golden Girls. She played cards with friends and was an excellent homemaker and cook. She is survived by her Husband whom she married September 7, 1961 in Anderson: Cliff Carey. Five Children: Denise Wilson of Pendleton. Debra Carey of Anderson. Kevin & wife Melanie Carey of Anderson. Lisa & husband Kenny Buford of Jacksonville, Florida. Mark Soales of Pendleton. One Granddaughter: Dachary & Chris Pickett of Noblesville. Nieces & Nephews: Vickie Haskett of Anderson. Margaret Jones of Anderson. Linda Shelton of Anderson. Mike Bauer of Pendleton. Cheryl Biddle of Anderson. Diane Taylor of Anderson. Nancy Fairchild of Anderson. Ronnie Sparks of Anderson. Grandchildren: Jason & wife Tania Wilson of Pennsylvania. Justin Wilson of Muncie. Heather Delphia, Brianna Carey, Jennifer Lane of Jacksonville, Florida, Holly Lane of Jacksonville, Florida and Jeremy Buford of Jacksonville, Florida. Three Great Grandchildren: Tristan Hower, Austin Wilson and Pacey Wilson. Special thanks to Hospice and especially Tracy Collins. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Alfonso Hendricks and Mamie Hendricks. Three Brothers: Audrey Reed, Clayton Reed and Edward Reed. Two Sisters: Marie Sparks and Eula Bauer. Two Nephews: Bob Reed and David Sparks. Beloved Dog: Tyler. Services will be Friday, December 27, 2002 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home & Crematory, South Chapel. 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. W. Gene Bauer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery-Ovid .
