Cori Ann Winer
March 7, 1998 - January 30, 2021
Cori Ann Winer was granted her much deserved angel wings on January 30, 2020. Her final day was spent surrounded by immediate family, and close nurse/doctor friends that she had touched in many ways throughout her short, yet very memorable life. She loved being outdoors and going to drag races with her dad. Her favorite place she visited was Hawaii where she got to be a beach girl for a week. She loved expressing her creativity through making arts and crafts, custom tumbler cups, and custom t-shirts for her family and small business. She could spend hours listening and singing to music while driving on backcountry roads and loved sunflowers. What she loved the most was being a Mom. Cori was a force to be reckoned with, because of her strength she refused to go down without a fight. She faced everything head-on and her “you only live once” view on life, motivated her to make the most of it, as best she could regardless of what her body was going through physically. Cori’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her no-fear attitude on life and her way of calling people out was her tough love that we will miss every single day. Cori is survived by her most precious gift, her 2-year-old son, Lawrence Michael Anderson; her loving parents, Mike Winer of Fortville, Indiana & Robin Winer-Sheese and Mark Sheese of Pendleton, Indiana; sisters, Autumn, Amber, and Kennedy; brothers, Brook, Cody, Owen Winer, and Zion; maternal grandmother, Tonya Kemerly; close aunt, Susan Winer; the father of her son and boyfriend, Larry Anderson; niece, Haisley; nephew, Brantley; and four-legged companion, Chester She is proceeded in death by her grandparents, Charles & Marlene Winer and Thomas Scott. Visitation will be held Friday, February 5, 2021, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, 46013. Graveside services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital, give.rileykids.org, or to Cori’s GoFundMe account, www.gofundme.com/f/remembering-cori.
