Donald L. Holliday, 81, of Alexandria, passed away on October 10, 2021. He was born on March 20, 1940, in Noblesville, IN to Gerald and Lois Holliday. Don was a 1958 graduate of Anderson High School. Following high school, Don enlisted in the U.S. Army. Don proudly dedicated his life to the Army and served four tours in Vietnam. He was a recipient of four Bronze Stars, one of which was for valor. Don was a member of the Anderson American Legion #127 and served on the American Legion military funeral honor guards for Daleville and Elwood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Miller-Holliday, on March 24, 2021, his parents, his brother, Robert Holliday, and his two grandchildren. Don is survived by his children, Cynthia Holliday, Seattle, WA, Candace Rodriguez (Angel), Eagle Mountain, UT, and Catherine Martin (Kenneth), Shillington, PA; his eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his brother, William Holliday (Sandra), Anderson; and his nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 15 at 1:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, with Pastor Jerome Bell officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites conducted.
