Eugene "Gene" Knepp

January 27, 1939 - February 1, 2022

Eugene "Gene" Knepp, 83, Anderson, went to be with his Lord on February 1, 2022. Gene was born in Grampian, PA on January 27, 1939, to Carl and Mary (McCracken) Knepp, Sr. He graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1957. Gene faithfully served our country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1960. He retired from General Motors after 34 1/2 years. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty; his daughters, Marcia (Ronnie) Parker and Melissa (Bret) Wallace; his grandchildren, Dylan (Allison) Parker, Kevin (Amethyst) Wallace, and Samantha Wallace; his great-grandson, Beau Parker; his sister, Lois Seaburn; his brother, Walter (Carolyn) Knepp; his sister-in-law, Mary Jane Knepp; his brother-in-law, Billy (Linda) Hinkle; and his sister-in-law, Doris Hinkle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him very much. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Donnie, Harry, Carl Jr. ("Lee"), and Bill Knepp, and his sisters, Leona Shaffer, Betty Stiles, Bess Best, Pearl Quesinberry, and Neva Ingle. We want to thank Dr. Reddy and all of his staff along with Kindred Hospice for all of their wonderful care and service. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Maple Grove Church of God, 2729 E. 38th Street, Anderson, with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the church. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. The services will also be live-streamed on the Facebook and Youtube pages of Maple Grove Church of God.
