Faye Welborn

August 2, 1933 - January 4, 2022

Faye Welborn, 88, Anderson, passed away on January 4, 2022, at Northview Health and Living in Anderson. She was born August 2, 1933, in Anderson, the daughter of Forrest and Catherine Newton. Faye graduated from Anderson High School. She bowled for many years and also enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, and needlepoint. Faye also loved spending time with her family at the lake. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Welborn, her grandson, Ryan Welborn, her great-grandson, Grant Houston, her parents, and her brothers, David Newton, and Donnie Newton. Faye is survived by her children, Robbie Welborn, Moore, OK, and Tim Welborn (Corrie), Nashville, IN; her grandchildren, Jeremi Welborn (Michele), Jamestown, OH, Ashley Houston (Corbin), Moore, OK, and Logan Minton, Edinburgh, IN; her great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Grace; her brother, Earl Newton (Susie), Anderson; and her very close friends, Karen and B. J. Northern, Frankton, IN. The family would like to give special thanks to Northview Health and Living in Anderson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the service time. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or any local hospice organization.
