Jason Scott Stevens

June 25, 1973 - April 10, 2022

Jason Scott Stevens, 48, of Anderson, passed away on April 10, 2022 at the Ascension St. Vincent Anderson. He was born on June 25, 1973, in Anderson, Indiana. Jason worked as a Parts Manager at Carter Express. He volunteered with Cub Scout Pack 218, as well as the Brooklyn Little League in Anderson. He was an active member of a pool club, Hideaway 8's, also in Anderson. Jason believed strangers were just people he hadn't become friends with yet. He was a friend to everyone and was willing to help anyone in need. He was a kind, caring, loving and compassionate person. Jason loved cooking, working on model cars, operating RC cars and trains, completing puzzles, playing video games and fishing. He loved sitting and often falling asleep on the couch while watching a good movie, music video or cooking show; however, what Jason loved most was his family. He always attended his children's award ceremonies and sporting events. Jason could be seen cheering on his son, Austin, during a track and field event, accompanying his daughter, Elizabeth, to a meet and greet at Ball State University; coaching his son, Shawn's, baseball team, as well spending time attending car shows and playing video games with his son, Scott. Jason also looked forward to his weekly date days with his beloved fiancé, Kelly. He is survived by his fiancé, Kelly Clark; children, Austin T. (Lily) Stevens, Elizabeth N. (Sierra) Cassady, Scott D. Stevens, and Shawn A. Stevens. Also, surviving is his mother, Jane (Paul) Marano; siblings, Alex (Nicole) Marano, Jessica Morea, and Aaron Stevens; nieces, Victoria (Conner) Wilhelm and Chelsea "CC" (Shawn) Claus; nephews, Vincent Morea and Caden Marano, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jason is preceded in death by his father, Larry Stevens; brother-in-law, Steve Morea; and grandmother, Nancy Seybert. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. www.loosecares
