Judith "Judy" Anne Smith Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Judith "Judy" A. Smith, 77, of Anderson, passed away on July 6, 2022, at the Community Hospital Anderson. She was born on September 30, 1944, to Laannah Sue (West) Babb and Wilford R. Babb. Judy graduated from Highland High School in 1962. She attended Ball State University and graduated from International College in 1965. She was employed in public relations for Marsh Supermarkets and Promotions Director at Muncie and Mounds Malls. She was also employed by Anderson Community Schools as an elementary substitute. Judy was a longtime member of Bethany Christian Church and an active member of the Madison County Extension Homemakers Club, Onward and Upward. She loved to make crafts and spend time with her family and friends. On October 3, 1971, she married Glenn R. Smith. He preceded her in death in 2016. Judy is survived by a daughter, Julie (Doug) Flack of Hamilton, Ohio; son, John Smith of Hobart and granddaughters, Lainey Rose Flack and Braelyn Anne Flack, both of Hamilton, OH. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Karen Babb of Greenwood; brothers-in-law, Dale (Marilyn) Smith of Florida and Don (Linda) Smith of Granger; special friends, Donna Parton and Maribeth Flynn, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was greeted in Heaven by her brother, Phillip Babb and her in-laws, Arthur and Ethel Smith. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 3:00 pm -7:00pm at the Community Room at Loose Funeral Homes, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson IN 46013 Burial will take place at the Gardens at Willowcrest Park at a later date.
