Mellie L. Krebs

Mellie L. Krebs, 71, of Alexandria, passed away on May 7, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, 86th Street, Indianapolis. She was born on May 7, 1951, in Ronceverte, West Virginia, the daughter of Manuel and Daisy Snyder. Mellie was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing Bingo, doing puzzles, reading, and going to garage sales with her sister, Mary, but most of all, spending time with her grandkids. Mellie is survived by her companion of 35 years, Larry Ray Allen; children, Whitney (Corey) Myers, Amanda Modlin, Tracy (Jeri) Stafford, Brock Krebs, Tony (Christina) Stafford, and Dustin Parks; grandchildren, Jamie, Kayla, Alexia, Levi, David, John, Phillip, Aaron, Faith, Sarah, Brooke, Dylan, Kenzie, Makayla, Peyton, Parker, Olivia, and Maci; and several great-grandchildren; siblings, Greg, Mary, Sarah, Rose, Vina, Jewel, and Karen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Darren Stafford; beloved step-mother Delta Snyder; siblings, Delmer, Benny, Sonny, Doug, and Debra; and her special fur baby, Chico. Cremation was chosen and the burial of ashes will take place at a later date at the Elwood City Cemetery.
