Michael Dennis Winnen

February 26, 1949 - March 22, 2022

Michael Dennis Winnen, 73, of San Diego, CA passed away in Anderson, IN on March 22, 2022. He was born on February 26,1949, in Inglewood, California Michael graduated from Inglewood HS, served his country in the United States Army from 1969-1971 as a Military Police Officer during the Vietnam War, and later attended Palomar College from 1973-1975 studying Criminology. He worked as an Auto Mechanic, Security Officer, and NASSCO Boat Rigger during his life. He loved the outdoors, camping, kite flying, black powder guns and rifles, but his greatest joy was being a Grandfather to Gavin and Gabriel Talton. Michael is survived by his loving daughter, Shannon (Romaslice) Talton of Fishers; grandchildren: Gavin and Gabriel Talton, Steven, Allison and, Ashley Winnen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Pauley (Younger), his father Francis Winnen, son, Michael Winnen II, his brothers Richard (Dick) and Robert (Bob) Winnen, and his sisters Judy Barnes and Nita Walden. Cremation will take place at Loose Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life to be held at Summit Lake on 03/30/2022 7-8:00pm Memorial donations may be made in his name to Summit Lake State Park.
