Sarah Rebecca "Millie" Murdock

Sarah Rebecca "Millie" Murdock, 95, of Anderson, was reunited with her kids on Mother's Day, May 8, 2022. She was born on April 29, 1927, in Davidson, Tennessee. She worked at Arrow Cleaners in Anderson with her sister and niece, and retired from Container Corporation of America after 30 years of service After retirement, she worked at Gustin's Garden Shop for several years. She loved gardening, quilting, crocheting, bowling, and cooking family dinners. Her family was her pride and joy. She was known for her hugs. Millie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Peg Murdock; son-in-law, Paul Cox; grandchildren, Shelly (Kevin McKeon) Betz, Jerry (Jamie) Jenkins, Kelly (Eric) Kichler, Kris (Murdock) Henderson, Casey (Casey A.) Cox Dexter, and Mathew (Sarah) Cox; 18 spoiled great-grandchildren, 5 cherished great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elliot Murdock, Jr. children, Garner Jenkins, David Murdock, and Deborah Cox; parents, Maynard York and Amanda (Claiborne) Cooper; siblings, Mamie Abston, Ethel Brown, Harrison York, and Mabel Bennett, and grandson-in-law, James Henderson. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street Anderson, IN. Services will be Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 2:30 pm at the funeral home with Rev. James Mahoney officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
