Vivian June Hoover Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Vivian June Hoover, 89, Pendleton, passed away July 4, 2022, at the St. Vincent Hospice Center Indianapolis after a lengthy illness. She was born October 24, 1932, in Dunkirk, IN. Vivian attended Indiana Business College in Indianapolis. She worked as a Hospital Care Giver in Union City from 1955-1961. She moved to Pendleton where she was employed as a Travel Guide by Miller Tours. She also worked for the Pendleton Banking Company both as a Teller and Travel Agent until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the Eastern Star and volunteered her time with Jobs Daughters and The Girl Scout organization. She also enjoyed her association with Bridge Club members. She is survived by her son & daughter in law Mont & Wanda Hoover of Henrico, NC; daughter Amy (Hoover) Scaggs of Petersburg. She has two surviving sisters, Ina Shrack of Albany and Beverly Ross of Ft. Wayne. Vivian has six grandchildren, Jana (Scaggs) Meade of Fishers, Michael Scaggs of Bloomington, Meghan (Hoover) Shafer of Virginia Beach, VA., Amanda (Hoover) Steinhilber of Randolph, WI., Wendy (Hoover) Schmidt of Houghton, MI, and Amber Hoover of Waunakee, WI., along with 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hoover of Pendleton, her parents, Virgie Estes of Dunkirk and Oral Ross of Winchester, her son, Barton Hoover of Alexandria, two brothers Oral Jr of Portland, Duane of San Diego, a sister Betty Hough of Yorktown, and son-in-law Michael Scaggs of Petersburg.
