Cindy Biven

Cindy Biven, 69, of Huntington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 16, 2026. Cindy was born and raised in Anderson. She moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky, where she worked at the Corvette Plant, retiring in 2019. After retiring, Cindy came back to her roots, where she settled in Huntington close to her daughter, Amanda, and son-in-law, Ryan, along with their sons, Branson and Kyan. Cindy was all about her family. She worked many different retail jobs before working at General Motors. In 2020, Cindy lost a very special brother-in-law, Steve, and at this time, she and her older sister, Karen, became the "Traveling Sisters". They began taking many trips together, enjoying life and each other, knowing "life was too short". They often could be found in Panama City at the Beach. Cindy enjoyed going to the Gulf Coast with her daughter and grandsons as well. Cindy is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Ryan) Bales; son, Josh Williams, both of Huntington: grandsons, Branson (Brynn Rollins) of Columbia City, Kyan (Laci Jefferies) Bales of Huntington, and granddaughter, Camara Williams of Ohio; sister, Karen Gray of Anderson; brother, Rick (Susie) Biven of Corpus Christi, Texas; and several special nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews whom she loved so much. Cindy had numerous friends throughout her lifetime, but her lifelong friend, Cindy Morgan, was there until the end. Cindy was blessed to have her daughter's in-laws, Deb and Dan Bales, as great friends who became family. Cindy will be greatly missed, but the family has great comfort knowing she will be welcomed with open arms into not only the arms of Jesus, but also many loved ones who have gone before her. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Frances Hoppes; sister, Jan Riddle; brother-in-law Steve Gray; grandparents, George and Pansey McKeand, as well as special aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to mention.
