Anderson - Harry L. DeVol went to be with the Lord, 65, Anderson, died December 27, 2002 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after Unexpected Illness. He was born February 12, 1937 in Arcadia, IN, and resided in Anderson, IN. Lifelong resident of the Hamilton and Madison County areas He worked for the Anderson Fire Dept. from January 13, 1965 thru July 31, 1985, retiring after 20 1/2 yrs of service He served four years with the U.S. Marines during the Korean conflict He was active in AA fellowship, the American Legion Post #127, and the Indiana Firefighters Assoc. He is survived by his wife of 40 yrs., Wanda Stewart DeVol; 5 children, Loree Bartle of Anderson, Linda Jarolim of Midway Park, NC, David wife, Paula DeVol of Bellevue, NE, Lisa husband, Brian Harney of Anderson and Christina husband, Warren Brannan of Hamilton, OH; brother, Tom wife, Betty DeVol of Indianapolis; Sisters, Honora Belle husband, Keith Tharp of Cicero, Mary Jane Hilton of Arcadia, Shirley husband, Jim Pedigo of Westfield & Juanita Barrett of Lake Placid, FL; sister-in-law: Virginia Barnes of Anderson; Ten grandchildren, Jama husband, Matthew Short, James Adam Alexander, John DeVol, Brian DeVol, Ross DeVol, Chad wife, Destiny Taylor, Jeffrey fiancee', Jami Parkhurst Taylor, Jason McNabb, Trista McNabb & Nathan Wright; Eight Great Grandchildren, Timothy A. DeVol, Michael DeVol, Jacob Short, Jordan Short, Timothy B. McNabb, Hailey McNabb, Zoey McNabb & Adrianna Foutch; Special Buddy, Fluffy He was preceded by his Parents, Ed & Flossie Barkdull DeVol; a son, Timothy Paul DeVol; brothers, Bobby Joe DeVol, Lloyd DeVol, Ed DeVol, Jr, and Bryon DeVol; sisters, Helen Redfern and Vitura Hulce; and grandchildren, Melissa Kay Taylor and Aaron David Alexander Services will be Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at 10:00 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Jim Lyon and Rev. Gary Britton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson . Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Monday, December 30, 2002 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel.
